Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
8 n' d+ o- N3 c( kthey should be used to me and my toys.

0 a: A: R& b8 N' V# jI stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
scanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
$ I# O& n2 B! A  ?4 Y! p& Z, wslides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
2 ~$ Z* r! V8 X! C$ y; [! pTarget, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
all of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

$ g0 R. E1 S) SThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
ones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
: A( V9 ]$ T% N$ @/ ADollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
  B4 I/ y0 g  N  [) {9 ashould be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
5 W; H' t7 V/ r, Tthe years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
