Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
, W$ W" k. A; H7 pthey should be used to me and my toys.

I stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
: @. N5 [  L+ f  s* @& F2 zscanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
, K; u9 V( t# o( s3 K- s' k* f9 b$ j4 Bslides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
+ |; ]' L) P7 \3 l( c4 xTarget, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
/ Q8 _$ \' P) t' |1 D6 C& ]all of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

# C7 b  S* C* a' e2 L" IThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
ones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
- {) i2 \7 I" O0 kDollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
# w! a( t4 D2 M1 _should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
: i2 B: S# }: U# B# m) E; n7 }the years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
